Foreign Languages
Trends in Education
Olga Gudynn School is committed to aligning with the most successful educational systems; thus our school attaches great importance to the study of foreign languages in order to encourage students’ academic achievement so that they can easily adapt within any top-tier education system, whether national or international.
English is taught intensively, and students have English classes on a daily basis. Most clubs and electives are taught by English-speaking teachers.
German is taught as the second language of study, twice a week, starting in the 5th grade.
Learning Through Cooperation
Interactive methods are used in the teaching of languages, due to their efficiency in terms of fluent communication and speaking: role-play, mini-scripts, brainstorming, teaching games that stimulate learning through cooperation.
The teacher’s role is to be a partner of the student. The interaction takes place both between the teacher and the students and between the students. Visual stimuli and images, as well as authentic materials, are used. Smart Boards are used, as well as video and audio material published by the publishing houses with which our school has partnerships: Oxford and Cambridge.
