Student Testimonial
Some children take pride in the fact that the state school has already introduced them to adult life, which I personally find rather sad. On the other hand, I am proud of the fact that Olga Gudynn has allowed me to enjoy my childhood years, while giving me an excellent education. And when I say "education," I do not mean only Romanian, mathematics and all the others. I mean the kindness and understanding with which we were treated. I mean the life lessons learned. Because, in my opinion, between 7-12 years, learning to behave with people is extremely important. And even though I didn't realize it, over 3 years ago, when I returned to Olga Gudynn, I remembered how beautiful it was ... I lived in a fairy tale world, where I felt at home, and in the meantime I excelled in the English language. Others, in Romanian, mathematics, sports ... but whatever you chose, you were offered countless opportunities. And what I know for sure is that, whenever I think of OGIS, I will smile. Because, as a child, it is impossible not to feel like you are in paradise. That is why I would like to thank you, OGIS, for providing me with an excellent education and at the same time making me feel happy and safe - which not many children can say. Because in other schools, you either learn like a robot without having fun or you don't learn at all and choose to live your life to the fullest. Thank you, OGIS, for giving me the perfect balance.

These years have been a real adventure for us all. From the moment we first entered the classroom and up to now, we have had many events that shaped us and created our character. Every year I learned something, and most importantly, we managed to be a family. A family that remains united, even after our separation, and that will remain united for a long time to come. Each teacher gave us something of his or her way of being and taught us so many things for which we are grateful. What we are now is a combination of everything that has happened to us and we thank them for their effort and for their hard work to help us through the difficult times and to teach us everything we could. At this point, there is probably a special person to thank: our homeroom teacher, Teacher Dana. She is the person who has always been with us, who, from the 5th grade, dedicated her time to our problems: German teacher, homeroom teacher, friend, and especially a second mother. They are all what teacher Dana has been to us all this time. And I think we all want to know that we are grateful to her. Vielen Thanks, Frau Efstate.

A year ago, like any child, I was wondering what the eighth grade would look like. Now that I have reached the end of this chapter of my life, I can tell you what I felt during this year. I cannot say that it was a light year or that I had no emotions. Anyone who would say such a thing has not gone through this experience or wants to make the situation seem easier. However, I can say that the teachers have done their best to ensure that, during the year, we never got the idea that we were not prepared or that we could not obtain the grades we wanted on our exams. This year, I chose not to add supplementary hours of preparation because the program from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm includes all the things you need. This decision allowed me to go to the National Physics Olympiad, to work on a robotics project, to take care of a newly discovered passion: golf, to play, and to obtain an evaluation with which I am very happy. One piece of advice I would like to convey to the next generation of the eighth grade is: you must learn and prepare for the exam as much as you can throughout the year, but it is almost as important that on the big day you should not be exhausted so that you can give everything you have.

OGIS represents a journey for me with extraordinary people who helped me define myself as a human being. The attention and care with which the teachers have guided us made me gladly learn about any subject, and this was very helpful in my first year of high school. I will never forget the 'Shoe box' that taught me what it means to give, or the 'For the Cat' Campaign that made me realize that no effort is too small when it comes to the life of a man. I will always remember the Easter Fairs, with pies and red eggs, and especially the wonderful Christmas Holidays, with the Elves, Mrs. Christmas and Santa in person, when we met all the families in OGIS, with grandchildren, parents and grandparents. Last but not least, I will always remember two things I heard in school, the first one is the characterization that Miss Olga made me at the end of the year, in the second-year class, when I was called "Little Big Man" and, most importantly, If you can dream it, you can do it.

My adventure at OGIS started in 5th grade. Then I was new to school and I had to adapt to a new lifestyle. At first it was not easy: new colleagues, new program, new teachers, etc., but I did not give up so easily and I passed the 5th grade with flying colors. The 6th and 7th grades passed very quickly. I want to thank, with all my heart, the teachers who ... wrote clearly on the board, who read our works with intonation, who were smiling, who were learning partners first instead of doing other grand things. I liked the teachers who understood that I did not understand. And they explained everything very clearly and they were smiling when I was trying.

Today, I also feel a sense of confidence that I will succeed even further, as I did in my OGIS years. And in particular, I would like to thank Mrs. Olga Gudynn, who has been able to surround herself with all these wonderful people who I am grateful to and who have been able to create a school as a living universe that you can hardly wait to come back to because you will stay connected in a beautiful and true way all your life.

Here I am, Mihai Peia, at 14 and a half years old, "veteran" of Olga Gudynn International School, studying here for over 11 years ... Now I can say, with all my classmates, that it was a wonderful experience, an unforgettable one, which we will keep in mind for the rest of our lives and which has played a very important role in our development over the years. I am convinced that, in a few years, the name "Olga Gudynn International School" will be recognized all over the world, and all the graduates of this school will become famous people.

It is said that people fail not because they aim too high and fail, but because they aim too low and hit. We have learned from our teachers that good work is indispensable in our lives, that the values we surround ourselves with determine our personality and that when we want something, only the sky can be the limit.

Here, in OGIS, every day being different, there is never the feeling of monotony. All the time, we were getting new information, finding out new things about each other and starting to get to know each other better and better. Every year I have obtained special results in exams, competitions and extracurricular projects, which I am glad to say that I participated in. This is how the Adventure begins. Still very successful, do not forget to set your goals as high as possible and believe in the beauty of your dreams!
