Olga Gudynn
International School
History
In a time when private education was taking its first steps in Romania, Olga Gudynn, a visionary manager with an education and psychology background, offers parents an innovative educational option and a partnership that places the child at the center of the educational act.
The first private Olga Gudynn nursery in Bucharest
In 2001, Olga Gudynn Int’l School (OGIS) set up the first nursery for a total of 45 children, with only a few teachers and a passionate educational manager eager to offer children a new alternative, a personalized education which placed value on each child, starting from their personal skills and their own pace of development. From the beginning, OGIS has invested in quality, providing children with an environment based on values and principles, an environment conducive to academic and personal development, where children can express their creativity and imagination. The nurseries and the Olga Gudynn School carry out partnerships and exchanges of experience with UNESCO, Erasmus +, and prestigious educational institutions in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the USA and other countries, in order to connect with new trends in education.
Thanks to the quality educational services, the use of innovative methods, and parents’ recommendations (satisfied with the development of the children), in just 7 years Olga Gudynn Int’l School (OGIS) expanded with another 3 nurseries in residential areas of Bucharest and Pipera, thus becoming a brand educational success. When choosing locations, consideration was given to placing buildings in green areas, near parks, to organize as many outdoor activities as possible and to have bright classrooms and generous playgrounds.
The first private Olga Gudynn School in Pipera
In order to provide continuity to the children graduating from the Olga Gudynn nurseries, the Olga Gudynn School was inaugurated in 2005 in Bucharest for a number of 30 children. After only one year, the school became inadequate due to the large number of requests from parents and thus a new development project was born. In 2007, the school moved to a spacious new building, located in Pipera, in the vicinity of Baneasa Forest. The school is equipped with modern technology, the highest quality teaching materials and special facilities: swimming pool, basketball court, soccer field, dining room, bright classrooms, modern furniture, library, laboratories and a school counseling office. In September 2011, the school expanded into a new building, where the Olga Gudynn Middle School was set up, creating new spaces and facilities for 135 students. Since 2014, OGIS hosts over 600 students of different nationalities, offering scholarships to deserving students and prizes for excellence every year.
