Olga Gudynn High School
Academic Counselling and Career Orientation
At Olga Gudynn Bilingual High School, academic counselling and career orientation begin early.
From the 8th grade until the 12th grade, our students are encouraged to explore a variety of different academic and professional environments in order to be able to make the right choices for their future.
The clarity that students can reach, during their studies, regarding their abilities, interests, their academic and career objectives, will shape their future trajectory. Such clarity is all the more relevant in an extremely dynamic world as the professional landscape is subject to much change. World Economic Forum studies show that approximately 65% of students starting primary school today will later obtain jobs that have not yet been invented (source: webforum.org).
In addition, data from OECD studies show that today’s young people are not very imaginative when it comes to their career options.
That is why our efforts at Olga Gudynn Bilingual High School focus on creating opportunities that optimize students’ potential so that they will be equipped with all the tools necessary for becoming happy and adaptable adults.
Each student’s educational and personal development will be supported via workshops specially designed for the development of soft and hard skills, internships and job shadowing, volunteer programs, meetings with specialists from various fields of interest, and psychometric and sociometric tests. All of these will be complemented by regular career counselling and exchange experiences.
Students will be informed about and guided through admission procedures for the universities of their choice (both national and international).
Tomorrow’s success is born of today’s experiences.
